APEX plans return to Bimini
During a recent Board meeting, members of APEX Institute began setting the stage
for a spring, 2009, return to the Bimini area of the Bahamas. Chief researcher
William M. (Bill) Donato indicated that special underwater video equipment will
be used to survey sites previously identified as "promising" by him and others.
Scuba divers will be deployed to conduct first-hand investigations of any sites
that show signs of human construction.
"Several sites appear to be artifacts of an ancient maritime culture," said
Donato. "Based on the depths of these sites (80 to 100 feet), these apparently
anthropomorphic structures could be more than 10,000 years old - older than any
known cultures in the Americas."
For more information, contact Willam M. Donato at (714) 527-3979 or on the Web
at info@apexinstitute.org.
