    Forgive me........

I have been captured and drawn into the world of  ancient archeology, specifically, the possible influence of civilizations pre-dating what 'science' claims. I have just recently discovered the findings in Cuba. Everything that I find appears to be dated around '04 and '05 or earlier. I can't seem to find any information after that. Can someone point me in a direction of any new information? This discovery has plastered a huge smile on my face!

    Re: Forgive me........

The discovery was originally made in the summer of 2000 but it wasn't publicly reported until almost a year later, so you'll find that the earliest material dates to mid-May of 2001. There was a flurry of activity throughout the rest of 2001 and then things died down to practically nothing. Many of the articles, especially the early ones, are just re-statements - or in some cases mis-statements - of the original news release by Reuters News Agency. One of the most determined reporters was Linda Moulton Howe (Earthfiles.com) who published information about Mega in May, June, November and December of 2001, in July of 2002 and in September and October of 2003. Ms. Howe has been granted interviews with both Paulina Zelitsky and her husband and research partner, Paul Weinzweig, as well as with Dr. Manuel Iturralde-Vincent who is the geologist on the research team. (See Iturralde's profile on this site) For this reason, I tend to view Ms. Howe's articles as the best source of information until the Exploromar team releases their own accounts.

From time to time I get "tips" from interested readers about new articles that have surfaced and I recently received one that had been published in Cuba. It made some bold claims about an involvement by National Geographic, so I contacted Mr. Weinzweig directly and asked him to comment. He suggested that the article contained "many errors" including the details about National Geographic. When I asked him about the progress of the Mega investigation, he replied, "... we are not issuing any information since there is no activity to report."

I recently received another "lead" about a blog published in Cuba (and in Spanish) that I'm investigating now, so stay tuned!

    Thank you,

This is one event, that I really hope doesn't turn out 'too good to be true'. I appreciate your research and any new information that is found.
