Another group searches for 12,000-year-old Americans
Much is written here about the work taking place near Bimini but there’s another group of researchers working a couple of hundred miles to the west, off Florida’s coast in the Gulf of Mexico. Their first expedition, funded by NOAA, took place last summer and it was promising enough to earn a second year’s funding. The 2009 expedition is currently underway and the researchers are due back on August 7. For more information, see these links:
